The R56+ Award 2019/2020 will be presented in Bendorf on 26 March 2019. The 56+ region includes all municipalities in postal code area 56 and is currently repositioning itself in regional marketing. The award is aimed at innovative projects that use digitization to improve the quality of life in the region. Among the 70 applicants for the award, immovativ GmbH has been selected as one of the top 10 and has been invited to the award ceremony.
Under the label R56+, various partners from postcode region 56 have joined forces in R56+ Regionalmarketing GmbH & Co. KGaA. Together they market the region and its high quality of life. Last year, the R56+ Award was launched as a competition to initiate digital projects that strengthen the region in the areas of learning, working and living and thus make it fit for the competition between regions.
Nearly 70 applications were submitted, showing how topical the subject of regional marketing and digitization is. Projects were submitted from a wide range of subject areas, including “Economy”, “Social Affairs”, “Education”, “Sport”, “Culture” and “Mobility”.
immovativ GmbH convinced the jury with its concept of holistically marketing the region to strengthen rural areas and the business location by introducing digital vacancy and space management. Components of the concept are the introduction of a municipal real estate exchange, the establishment of a vacancy detector and a local caretaker, as well as the development of a holistic space management and vacancy register in the sense of a sustainable internal development.
With such an overall concept of activating vacant properties and gaps between buildings for the real estate market, rural regions in particular can succeed in drawing attention to local supply in the digital market. This is because the much-lamented vacancy of houses or retail shops is often not present there, even though nowadays the search for property is almost exclusively online.
Project presentation and award ceremony
The team of immovativ GmbH is now looking forward to the event on 26 March 2020 in Bendorf. The program on this evening consists of two rounds of talks with company leaders from the 56+ Partner region and a keynote speech by futurologist Matthias Horx. At the end of the evening, up to five prize winners will be chosen from the TOP 10, who can look forward to a total prize money of 75,000 € for the purpose-related implementation of their project. All TOP10 projects will also be presented to the professional audience.
