Immovativ nominated for final of Digital Champions Award
Hanau, 25 September 2019. Digital X will take place in Cologne on 29 and 30 October 2019. The winners of the Digital Champions Award will also be announced as part of “Europe’s leading digitization offensive”. Among the nominees in the “Best Regional Champion” category is Hanauer immovativ GmbH.
Digital X is Europe’s leading digitization initiative and has been organized by Deutsche Telekom since last year as a regional and national series of events. The highlight of the series will take place with Digital X on October 29 and 30 at Messe Köln – a mixture of conference, trade fair and festival. Top-class digital experts will bring visions, technical innovations and tangible practical examples to the stage. The aim is to promote analogue exchange on digital progress. Among others, Tim Berners-Lee, founder of the World Wide Web, will give a lecture.
The Digital Champions Award will also be presented as part of the Digital X. The award, under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, was presented by Deutsche Telekom and WirtschaftsWoche. The aim is to honor companies that implement significant digital projects and make them known to a broad public.
Digital X has been touring Germany as a local event in six regions since April. At these events, the local Digital Champions were honored, including immovativ GmbH with its product aREAL® as part of Digital X midwest. With this software solution, the Hanau-based company enables municipalities to digitize the process of collecting, managing and activating internal development potential. The background is the necessary reduction in land consumption in Germany, which currently stands at just under 60 ha per day and is to be halved by 2030 according to the specifications of the German government. Immovativ provides local authorities with a tool that can be used to record gaps between buildings, urban wasteland and also potential for increasing storeys via an iPad application, digitally manage it in a SaaS application and market it via structured processes.

Now the jury has nominated the immovativ GmbH as one of three finalists in the category “Best Regional Champion”. “We are very much looking forward to participating in the Digital X in Cologne and to the nomination. This is a great opportunity for us to present our innovative product, which supports the sustainable reduction of land consumption and thus makes an important contribution to climate protection, to a broad audience,” says Stefan Müller-Schleipen, Managing Director of immovativ GmbH.
